ETF costs: what your TERs cost you, year by year

A TER of 0.20% sounds small. Over twenty years, with the growth those fees would have earned, it adds up. LTP turns your funds' TERs, trading fees and withholding tax into euro figures you can compare.

What you get

  • What your funds cost: each fund's TER, what it costs you a year in euro, fund size, accumulating or distributing, and replication method.
  • Year by year: fund charges, trading fees, other fees and withholding tax on dividends, from your transactions.
  • The years ahead: what costs will take over 5 to 30 years at an expected return you choose, including lost growth.
  • Same index, lower TER: another ETF tracking the same index more cheaply, where there is one: a cost comparison, not a recommendation.

Screening ETFs by cost

In Selection › ETFs you can filter and sort thousands of UCITS ETFs by TER, fund size, distribution policy and replication, alongside returns, volatility and drawdowns.

Questions

Where do the TERs come from?

From the ETF issuers' own published data.

Is the TER an extra payment?

No: it is taken from the fund's assets and is already reflected in its price. LTP shows it in euro so you can see what it amounts to.
